Quadra Books

Publisher info

Quadra Books, based in Victoria, BC, is a new kind of publisher, but one with roots that reach back to the cooperative efforts of publishers like the Hogarth Press and Coach House Books: publishers whose main goal is to build a community of good writers and thoughtful readers.

Our goals are to:
• build a small, independent literary publisher with a reputation for publishing quality work
• create a network of good BC writers who are willing to help promote both their own and each others’ work
• maximize royalties for our authors by using modern, Internet-based distribution avenues.

The publishing world is changing so quickly and so drastically that we believe there is real opportunity in reimagining how good novels and poems find their way to readers. We will do this by focusing on identifying wonderful books that deserve to find an audience and on working with our authors to help them connect with the readers they most want to reach with their stories.
