James Hendel
I am not an accomplished author, but wanted to express my support and understanding to which our children/youth feel in society today. What depths of despair and worthlessness pushes someone to take their life or to make them feel useless among their peers.
With such thoughts and my love for carpentry, I associated the two together and wrote this short story with the theme that everyone was created for a purpose in life just like tools. Throughout the book there are hidden life skills which can be discovered and discussed in a family or in a group.
I am married with one son and have a loving extended large family in Canada. I enjoyed travelling, fishing and woodworking in my spare time. I like the saying: If you can, why not? If you can't, so what. Not everything has to be perfect in life.
