How do you approach cover design?
I attempt to create a feel of what the book is about from an introductory idea. In the case of Repentant, the idea of resurrection in the morgue stood out.
What are your five favorite books, and why?
Night Stalks the Mansion - my first full length book (other than comics) I read without being prompted from a teacher. It was a decent rip-off of Amityville Horror and I just loved it.
The Dark Tower (Series) - From Roland's first step through the expansive desert in search of the Man in Black, I was hooked from beginning to end (this answer should count as 7 books!).
The Shack - powerful book with amazing imagery following a man's religious experience after the death of his child. Immensely emotional.
The Stand - a King masterpiece. I unknowlingly read the abridged version in one weekend. Found and read the expanded edition the following weekend. Could not put it down
