Jill Thistle is the author of Mommy Muscles: A Practical Guide to Building your Physical and Mental Muscles. This book is for anyone who wants to improve and change their life. Jill is a certified personal trainer through ACE and a group exercise instructor certified by AFAA. She holds certifications for TRX®, Dance it Out (DIO®) Pop Pilates, Personal Nutrition, Child Nutrition and Diet & Weight Loss Management. She has an English Education degree and has worked in a special education high school for 18 years while managing an English as a Second Language tutoring business.
What motivated you to become an indie author?
After I had my son, other moms around town would ask me for advice: how did I lose the weight, what did I eat, what motivated me, etc. I started writing them emails and from there, turned it into a book. It was a lot harder than I thought but I was thrilled to do it.
What is your writing process?
I write everything that comes to my head first. I usually write "too much". Then I go back and organize those first thoughts. I continue to read through and edit very carefully, many, many times!
