Jenny Jaeckel
Biography
Jenny Jaeckel grew up in Northern California, and currently lives in Victoria, British Columbia with her husband and daughter. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Creative Writing from The Evergreen State College, Olympia, Washington and a Master’s Degree in Hispanic Literatures from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst.
She is the author/illustrator of the graphic memoirs: SIBERIAK: My Cold War Adventure on the River Ob (published on 11/1/14), ODD PIECES: Memoir of a Childhood (forthcoming 2017), SPOT 12: Five Months in the Neonatal ICU (to be published in both English and Spanish in October 2016).
FOR THE LOVE OF MEAT: Nine Illustrated Stories is Jaeckel’s first book of fiction and is scheduled for publication in June of 2016. WAKING STAR, a companion novella to FOR THE LOVE OF MEAT, is scheduled to be release in ebook format only in Spring/Summer 2016.
