DHANANJAYA PARKHE

Smashwords Interview

What motivated you to become an indie author?
I wanted to be a Mentor which I could not get. In my lifetime, I was lucky to have Mentors at different stages and I felt that with the multi-functional, multi-talents and multi-skills that they helped me acquire over the years make me one capable to help C-Level Executives and I began Mentoring C-Suite Executives.
I visited few Universities and incubation centres and some Startup entrepreneurs visited me and I was happy to guide them. An idea germinated - why not publish the experiences and what I have shared with these Startups including my experiences as a failed entrepreneur in the form of an ebook. I found Amazon Kindle Publishing very useful. Not only I found how to publish an ebook but also paperbacks and put it on several publishing websites like Books2Read and Draft2Digital.
I have so far published One Series of Five Parts on Startup Mentoring - now writing the second part of the C-Suite Mentoring and also published my "Corporate Bard Writes" set of poems that I wrote over 25 years.
What is the greatest joy of writing for you?
The greatest joy is in sharing and when one of the Mentee/ Reader comes back and tells me that the knowledge shared was useful.
I believe, this is my personal CSR - Giving back to Society which has given me so much over the years.
