Jean Paul is an American poet and novelist. Born in a family of expatriates, she has followed her passion for foreign cultures and world travel for over forty years. Her life’s adventures took her to the heart of Africa, the mosaic of Europe, and eventually the center of the global financial world. She lives between South Florida and the French Riviera.

Where did you grow up, and how did this influence your writing?
I grew up in the Ivory Coast in the 1970s.
This greatly influenced my writing, both in terms of style and substance.
