Smashwords Interview

Where did you grow up, and how did this influence your writing?
I grew up in Philpot, Kentucky and almost all I write is influenced from the farm I lived on. The different seasons in Kentucky inspired me to write a lot of poetry which is published in the book "Poetry Of Nature." Another book of short stories I wrote "Annie's Antics" was also written based on the farm I lived on with my parents. All of the short stories are based on a true event with added fiction to make it more interesting. Though being raised on a farm as an only child, I did a lot of adventurous things to have fun. I have written a lot more about where I was raised just not published.
When did you first start writing?
I started writing at the age of 10 years old. I remember sitting at the kitchen table in our farmhouse writing an adventure about a young boy and his father in a plane crash and having to survive in the mountains alone. I did not have anything published until about 7 years ago. I actually kept all my writing to myself. It was/is a wonderful distraction from thinking about every day pressures.

Loved reading the novelette. I could picture the characters as if watching a movie.

You are amazing for your age! You will be a famous author one day! Thank you for the 5 star review on my book. I noticed you do not have book covers. I paint a lot of my covers. I have a lot of paintings I just have stuck in a drawer. If you want to use one for any for your books that may be suitable, I can sent it to you via e-mail.
