Jerry D Harrison
A friend commented that Jerry Harrison always begins his prayers with “Gracious Lord.” There is a reason. Jerry appreciates God’s patience with man’s imperfection. Jerry appreciates God’s grace.
Early in his life, Jerry developed his enjoyment of reading. But, he also enjoyed baseball, football, and many other sports. He worked on student publications in high school and college, and took more English classes than required. During his career in the oil industry, Jerry often had a book available for time in the airliner seat or in a hotel room. During those years in business Jerry would occasionally comment about unusual events, “When I write my book this will be chapter….”
Striking Down Scoundrels is Jerry’s second book. It reflects Jerry’s appreciation for God’s patience and Jerry’s disgust for corporate raiders.
Jerry and his wife Evelyn live in Tulsa, Oklahoma, are active in their church, travel extensively, and enjoy their adult children, "children-in-law", and grandchildren. Jerry's voluntary service ranges from picking up litter on the trail during his daily two mile walk to serving with an organization which provides free consulting services for small businesses.
