  Rob Shelsky has an extremely fertile and clever imagination. In this entertaining short story, our hero, "Harold", (who, by the way, enters this story with a terrific hangover), encounters a beautiful little six-inch tall female sprite in his kitchen sink! Harold is sure this is a direct result of his hangover, but the sprite blithely explains she reached him through the plumbing. After commenting on Harold's pot belly, (Harold is a full sized and quite normal human), she says, "No, I’m afraid that traveling by plumbing is just a pipedream for you." Shelsky so skillfully weaves these little one-line bombs throughout his story that it leaves you on the floor, laughing out loud! There have been thousands, if not millions, of stories written about sprites, but they are always predictable, the plot telegraphing itself at every unimaginative turn. This story is different--much different. Unless you posses psychic gifts, you will not be able to guess what will happen next. This little gem of a sprite leads you by the nose through the plot until the very end of the story. And that's the best kind of tale.
