JoDa was born on Vermont’s Bean Hollow Commune in 1976. This off-the-grid community served as his inspiration for Departed Harvest, the award-winning cable TV series.
A University of alum, JoDa graduated with degrees in Psychology, English and Communications.
After riding solo cross-country on his Harley, JoDa published FREEDOM ROAD, a travel memoir about the broken American Dream. Over the next six years, JoDa wrote episodes 1-13 of Departed Harvest, a television saga about a guitarist who must stop a police state from killing his commune.
Departed Harvest won the 2011 American International and the 2011 Rhode Island Film Festival Screenplay Competitions.
Today JoDa resides in Hollywood producing Television and Film, writing and relishing the Sun.
