Joe Kamm
Biography
Joe Kamm was raised in a small town in West Texas. After high school he spent his time roaming the country in a van as an aspiring musician. After the van, and all of his belongings, burned to the ground near Tijuana Mexico, he stopped traveling, moved to Southern Louisiana, and fell in love with the woman who is now his wife and the mother of his son. After settling down, he went back to school to become a registered nurse. Inspired by his late grandmother’s experiences working as a psych nurse in the seventies, he made his way into the mental health field where he now works with emotionally disturbed children. Ellum is a series with characters inspired by the children he works with as well as his own struggles with mental illness in his late teens and early twenties. He currently lives in New Jersey.
