A touching and enduring short story about a young boy and remembrance of his life with his loving grandparents.A touching story that brought tears to my eyes at the very end. This young boy was blessed in the fact that his grandparent's we so involved in his life and the impact that they left once gone. I was fortunate enough to say goodbye and be there with my grandmother when she passed on as she was my best friend and I was blessed with the chance to say goodbye and that it is important to do so.I spoke chatted and told her all the things I wanted her to know and that I loved her and wanted to be here for he in the end. So ,I know how the author felt regretting as a young boy that he never got that chance you feel that you have unfinished business.I myself would have felt the same.Grandparents play and important part in our every day lives and this author seemed to have a wonderful and loving relationship with his grand-parents where he should feel very blessed as the kids growing up today could care less and they are missing out on so much.
  • Vultar's Heart, Body and Soul Mate Part 1 on Jan. 07, 2012

Wow ! What a beginning to a new series. Even though this was a short story it has a lot going on.Vultar’s Heart, Body and Soul Mate part 1, is the first segment. I thoroughly enjoyed this book; it was funny, exciting with a little romance. Typically this is not the type of book I read only because I find books of that genre are hit or miss for me.But, I have say that from the beginning I was hooked on the plot. The characters were half human half alien and should be frightening no? In war the are warriors and when they are among there kind and mates these rough and tough warriors are endearing and big pussy cats with a big hearts. They excepted Setiana with upon arms as there fathers mate and protected her almost giving there lives. Is seems as though these creatures have some sort of healing abilities also. We will just have to explore to find out all there capable of. The Mind reading abilities they have a remarkable thing as the speak to one another through there minds and read thoughts without having to speak them. Can you say shields! Some getting used to but, doesn't seem to bother Setiana to much.Upon finishing this, I wanted to know what happens next! Can't wait for part two. A fresh new engaging twist.
  • Desire And Fate Prequel on Jan. 29, 2012

My Thoughts.... Wow action packed from the beginning.Half-human and half-dragon beings invade a village and wipe out them all except Hannah.Ozonar there leader has always wanted Hannah as he watched her from afar. He planned on this human girl being is True and final life-mate.No plan goes as planned all those people were not suppose to die and to top it off they just killed her husband. There is a lot of resentment built up with others the clan. Danger lurks there as Ozonar will need to protect her form the others and from the jealousies of the women of that clan.He is the chief and what he says goes anyone tries to harm her and they will be killed no questions asked. He means it!For such a short story there was a lot packed into it and I was sorry to see it end.It was a different twist to come up with the have dragon half human characters as I love Dragons in was in from the start. The hardened warrior was deadly but, yet sweet and protective to Hannah. Ozonar son welcomed his mate with open arms.At least she has someone on her side. There journey is not going to be an easy one but, I am definitely in for the long haul to see what happens. Can't wait!
  • Shadowlove-Stalkers on July 11, 2012

An Angels with Attitude book Review 5 stars from us ! Shadow Love: Stalkers (Shadow Vampires, #1) by Claudy Conn 5 stars Review What do you do when your father wants to turn you into a vampire and the man who offers you protection has his own, dark agenda? Shawna Rawley has no choice but to run. Pentim Rawley, one of the most evil vampires who has ever lived, has just discovered that she is his daughter. Now he's obsessed with finding and turning her. She doesn't want Pentim to find the people she loves and use them to get to her. She doesn't want him to find and turn her. She has only one ace up her sleeve. The human in her may be at risk, but in addition to being half vamp, Shawna is also a white witch! Chad MacFare has an offer for Shawna he thinks she can't afford to refuse: he'll protect her from Pentim and his minions. But Shawna doesn't trust the sexy immortal. She knows he has his own agenda-he wants to kill her father, and he wants to set her up as bait... My Thoughts and Review Wow ! What a great start to a new series I loved it ! Love the characters and how the setting and how the story ended up in the Highlands.I have to say when I started reading the story automatically I fell in love with Chad what a charmer he was and his had a way with words. Chad the dark and mysterious Lord with a sense of humor and also a passionate and protective fellow. He was made up of so many layers that you kept peeling them back that you kept learning one more revealing secret about himself and his family.I was so wishing I was Shawna without the danger of course ! LOL I have to say that Shawna was a strong and independent women and to have someone like Chad come crashing into your life knowing everything about yourself and not a thing about him made her uneasy and distrustful but Chad had a way of worming into heart quickly. But with a father wanting to use you as tool for destruction and wanting to make you a vampire Shawna needed to trust someone and Chad seemed the person. But, Chad was an unknown not knowing the extent of his super powers. But, she would soon learn...... The story was quite the page turner for me ! I could not wait to see what would happen next I couldn't put the e-reader down as we speak. There was so much going on in the story with Shawna learning more about herself and more about her grandparents and mother learning the extent of there own families abilities and putting her abilities to use along with Chad's to defeat a common goal and rid the evil vampire. The story also surprises you that Count Dracula plays a part in the story and as the story unfolds so will the part that Dracula plays in it and we will learn that he is connected to the story in some way and the story continues in the next of series. This story had all the things that make a great one for me. Fun characters with whit and adventure wrought with danger, mysterious plot, a love triangle in the making , strange occurrences, more than one person trying to kill you and also had me giggling throughout the story and a ending that you know may or may not he a happy one! I loved the story and look forward to reading the other books in its series. One of the pluses on this author side for me is she has made this into a continuing series which I so love to read with all the other characters gracing the other stories in its series.Looking forward to learning more about them and the role they will play. Recommend read to all
  • ShadowHeart--Slayer on July 11, 2012

Shadow Heart: Slayer (Shadow Vampires #2) by Claudy Conn 5 stars Her name is Nikki Walker, and she is a vampire slayer. She never thought she would have to use her slayer powers…but she does. She is on the trail of an ancient and secretive vampire called Deadly Moon, and Nikki wants her dead. She has her reasons. His name is Damon Drummond who some of you have met before, and already know that he is a hunk of an unusual vampire. He is bent on keeping Nikki away from Deadly Moon. The sociopath vampire, WB, who had been Pentim Rawley’s right hand man has taken over the Pentim clan, and is turning out to be even more of a problem than his predecessor had been. In fact, if someone doesn’t do something soon…Dublin will go dark under his power, and other cities will follow. Damon and Nikki are on opposite sides. He is a potent vampire--she is a skilled and powerful vampire slayer. Problem right there…but, when they look at each other, sparks of all kinds fly. Too much stands between them. He will live forever…she will not…and yet… My Thoughts and Review Oh My ! This series keeps getting better and better. Who would have thought a vampire and a vampire slayer not me ! I am just so loving this series it is nice to be excited by a new author its been a while for me so this is a nice treat.Claudy's books are just full of mysteries and by that I mean her characters they are all so mysterious and are not what they all seem on the surface and yet so much more. We met Damon in book one of the series and I was falling for him then with his mysterious ways about him and his talk and dark brooding looks but, after reading his story I am totally in love.He is tall dark and dangerous and a very powerful and yet has a caring and sensitive side to the 1000 plus year old vampire that one would not expect.Nikki Walker vampire slayer is on the war path to avenge her brothers death.. But , at every turn Damon is in her way.The person Nikki is after is a very close friend of Damon's and he just cannot believe she would murder someone in cold blood even for a vampire. The two go round and round.Damon is so much more then a vampire and Nikki does sense this he knows way to much about her. He says she has untapped powers that need to be released in order to fight the war they have ahead of them. War she is not here for war she is here for one purpose only and that is to kill the vampire that killed her brother. Nikki and Damon make and odd couple right? A slayer and a ancient vampire? These two have a connection whether they want one or not the sparks are always there between these two.You feel heartache for the couple as there looks to be no future for the both of them one mortal and one immortal. Nikki and Damon team up for whats ahead and develop a relationship not knowing were it would take them they will have to just have to live in the moment right ? New characters are introduced to us and the people who look the most normal have secrets themselves and it is so hard to trust anyone as they are not who they seem.Chad from book one graces our pages in this story and I was glad to see him there as Damon and he have developed a lasting relationship. The story had so much going on that you need to pay attention so many developments coming to life. The story was a page turner from the very beginning trouble followed Nikki everywhere. We saw her grow more powerful throughout the story which would have made her brother Jack very proud .They story was full with wonders and laughs and magic and so much more. The Camaraderie between the two main characters had me smiling on a off throughout the book. More of the puzzle comes to light but, the danger is still there and they are all still in for another adventure. The stories new characters were all so amazing I am talking about the good one of course not the bad ones ! LOL Just love them all .. This was another amazing read and and enjoyable tale .As always can't wait to read the next in the series to see what happens next I am on pins and needles!A recommended read to all and Claudy is at the top of the list for people to read in my book anyway. Kept the stories coming Claudy...........your biggest fan............
  • Hungry Moon-Quicksilver on Jan. 07, 2013

Hungry Moon-Quicksilver by Claudy Conn 5 stars Buy: Amazon UK Buy:Amazon US Reviewed by: Angels Format:Kindle Published:Claudy Conn Source Author Copy ARC Genre: Paranormal Romance Ravena MacAllister doesn’t want to admit what she is. She wants to continue pretending she’s just human … only human, like her mother, like her friends. But she isn’t human. Heartbreak and betrayal send her off rushing to Scotland, to a familiar haven where she has spent so many summers with her father, but she soon discovers that everything has changed. From the moment she meets Quinn MacValdane, shock waves travel through him to her and back again, wrapping them in a tide of passion she had never dreamt possible. But if they are to have a future together, she must confront who and what she is, for she will need to call on the powers within her as she becomes embroiled in an adventure that will alter her life forever. The time for pretending is over. My Thoughts Lets start off by saying this is one awesome author. Since the first time I picked up one of her novels I was hooked. Claudy's novels are so engaging and filled with tons of romance and adventure. Love her books and they only kept getting better and better. Wow ! What a way to start off this new series with a serious bang. This novel was a page turner from the being to end !What a great plot to keep you engaged right from page one. The story is about Ravena MacAllister who is always been different from others but, never really wanted to admit she was different with very special abilites. She wanted to be human so never really explored her special talents . A broken heart takes her off to Scotland to spend the summer with her father but, once there never realizing that she will be asked to participate in and adventure where she will have no choice but to acknowledge her powers and put her powers to the test. Then we have the sexy shape-shifter who was cursed and sent back in time Quinn MacValdane and no other can bring him forth but ,Ravena MacAlister. Evil forces are at work and time is an issue making it a life and death situation. I have to say that the characters in this story were all great loved them all even the bad ones ! (LOL) There was really a tie for the most likeable character but I loved Ravena and Quinn both equally. Just love reading time travel novels a lot so I was so glad to get to read about Ravena and Quinn's adventure.Quinns grand-father confides in Ravena that he needs her help to release Quinn from the curse that has plagued him and his family. Quinn MacValdane had left his guard down seventy-five years ago and the evil Andrew MacPoole managed to send him through the Quicksilver portal where he could’t get back to his castle due to a curse. The prophesy says there is one one person who would be able to release Quinn from this curse and Ravena seems to be his chosen mate and the one who would be able to end his entrapment and return him to the future. Love this adventure. There was so much intrigue going on in the now and its past. The story kept you so engrossed never knowing what would happen next. There is dangering lurking and every turn. It seems that the one who put the curse on Quinn may be dabbling in black magic as well and is a Royal Fae to boot.Andrew MacPoole has a story of his own making him and even more intriguing and more dangerous than any of the others.A dangerous Fae with many faces... Loved the descriptions of the beautiful lands of where Quinn was living.Secrets are unfolded and rhymes and poems are deciphered in order to help Ravena with her quest. The first moment she sees Quinn through the Quicksilver glass she is drawn to Quinn and is having and overwhelming attraction to him like no other.Quinn feels the same for Ravena but, one thing he knows about Ravena from the beginning is she is his life-mate and the only thing he will need to do is convince her of it and in the same breath find a way to be able to carve out a future and hope to break the curse while doing it. The romance between Ravena and Quinn was a sweet one. Ravena coming from a recent breakup is not wanting a romantic involvment. But, Ravena's hormones are dancing to a different tune!Quinn was a clever handsome fellow and just a down to earth sweet guy who had a sense of humor and new to tread carefully with Ravena giving him the patience of a saint . Ahhh ....Not So easy for a Highlander and a shape-shifter wolf to do as they are bossy and protective all of the time even more so when there instinct takes over knowing that you will die to protect your mate and loved ones. There were quiet a few surprises I did not see coming but, did have one pleasant surprise and that was that Prince Breslyn found his way into the story as he is definitely a favorite character of mine from Claudy's other novels giving me a huge smile !. This novel goes into the keeper pile for me as well as Claudy others books. You know you have written a great book when you have the reader looking forward to reading the story all over again. This novel had all the things that make a great book good plot, lots of surprises that keep you own your toes, secrets coming to light and a great romance that forms between two great characters ! This novel will make you laugh and cry and say OMG what next ? Claudy Conn has done a fantastic job in introducing us to her new characters and up and coming series ! A recommended read to all !
