John's passion for the visual arts, popular culture and history has always informed his creative ideas. His studies at the University of Arizona, Columbia University, and Stanford prepared him for various media careers and inspired his early passion for writing, film production and photography. His love for the Sonoran desert where he grew up and the history of the American Southwest, Mexico and its people continue to appear in his writing. John lives with his wife in Northern California.
