Jonathan Fore

Biography

Jonathan Fore was born in Marysville, Ohio in 1968, the third son of Dave and Judy Fore. After graduating Manalapan High School in 1987, Jon enlisted in the United States Navy, serving a combat role during Desert Storm.

Jonathan lives in Florida with his beautiful wife Lisa, and three wonderful children, two dogs (Katie aka. Nutter-Butter-Butt and Po-po), and a cat or two. The cats' names were withheld because cats don't really use them. I mean, why would they? They never come when you call them. I suppose if you could spell the sound of a cat food can being opened ...

Now Jonathan works as a full-time technologist, fails as an impromptu comedian, works with inspiring writers both young and old, and is a full time biker (almost always successful).

Jonathan is currently writing a young adult novel series called Lexicon Chase and the Kingdom of Everhope, the first title, 'Lexicon Chase and the Scrolls of the Harlequin' was released to critical acclaim on September 25th of 2015.

Smashwords Interview

What are you working on next?
Currently, I am working on book 3 of the Lexicon Chase and the Kingdom of Everhope series, Lexicon Chase and the Sapphire Scales. This third book in the series continues the Lexicon Chase story with more suspense, action, danger, and internal self realization of our favorite heroin, Lexi. Joined by the cast from Lexicon Chase and the Harlequin Scrolls, and Lexicon Chase and the Riddle Song, Lexicon is forced to brave new dangers, encounter new and imaginative people, and face the wrath of the tri-band as she quests to bring back the Sapphire Scales.

Lexicon has become a favored character of mine, and the cast includes some pretty great people I can't seem to get out of my head. There is Milk, the fair skinned and somewhat demented assassin now committed to Lexicon's cause. Miguel, the middle aged Captain and father figure who just can't help but protect Lexicon and her kingdom. The more mature Buckhead, General of the Everhope Guard. Maybell, the ever fretting and surprisingly brave handmaiden and confidant of Lexicon. Magdaline, a new member of the cast, and captain of the Everhope Rangers. There is always Stephan, the one time stable hand turned knightling (knight candidate) and full-fledge love interest for our young princess. And many others...

I'm not sure where this series will end. I enjoy hearing from the fans that are now reading and talking about the first book in the series.
Who are your favorite authors?
Jim Butcher. Anyone who wants to escape into a novel needs to read Jim Butcher's, the Codex Alera. Of all the reading I have done in my life, this series stands head and shoulders above them all. Nice going, Jim.

There is also Elizabeth Moon, Steven King, Dennis Lehane...
