Adam Blade is the pen name of Paul Foxton while writing the fantasy series King's Reign.
Planning to expand the universe he created in 1999, Paul is currently working on some new material and unearthing the original set of stories which were published as a limited edition in 2005.
Paul also writes other material including Freelance Forensics (as P A Foxton) and records music under his own name. He also is the creator and presenter of Paul & The Popcorn, a movie and more website which covers comic-cons, unboxings, movies, music and more.
What's the story behind your latest book?
There are a set of stories that follow on from each other although they can be read individually if you would like to! The overarching story is that there is a new King in Whitelaw and his brother, upset he didn't get the Kingdom, plans to overthrow him at every turn. This book is the first 6 "episodes" (if you like) in the first year of the new King, and his adventures with his friends.
What motivated you to become an indie author?
I've always wanted to publish a book and wanted to prove that I could do that. Due to time limitations and money and where I live, the indie author option was an accessible and cost effective way of achieving something I had on my bucket list. Also, it's amazing how many people say that they cannot write a book - but if I can, you can!
