I was a sheltered child. I got used to everything through heightened sensitivity. I was an emotional wreck. My social skills weren't there until post-puberty adventures and experiences that gave me my connectivity. I like to play games of chance. I like to write science fiction.
Where did you grow up, and how did this influence your writing?
I grew up near downtown Oklahoma City. I went to a private school and learned a modest amount of discipline before third grade. I moved during school, until I resided back in OKC during high school.
I think isolating my writing skill as being my only advantage as we moved around added a cynical side to my voice. I wasn't getting approval, and I didn't need it. The world was my sardonic masterpiece.
When did you first start writing?
I first started writing in second grade when I wrote a Mario fanfiction. Then, I wrote little stories in school up until I was seventeen, when I got serious.
Reading the call to action made me sad. The note even mentioned Chicago, the town which has so much importance to me. I felt like it was too popular to be real. I think that's my fault. Will I be the psychologist I've been striving to become? To help the famous? To ruin the activists' day?
