Smashwords Interview

What is the greatest joy of writing for you?
For me the greatest join of writing is the writing itself. Everything from story development to character formation and actually writing the story. It all is simply rewarding even if no one ever sees it. The realization that I took a small idea, a little tidbit, and fashioned a whole story with diverse characters, plot twists and emotional journeys is something exciting in my opinion.

Yes, I want people to read my work, to be entertained by it, but in the end it is the writing that does it for me.
What are you working on next?
I cannot say much about the next project yet, as it's still in the development stages and who knows what all will change. What I can say is that it is not a sequel to They'll Call It Treason, though that may be coming eventually. The next story is still going to be a suspense-thriller, but minus all of the politics and conspiracy of my first book.

Instead, it's going to be a darker story, something much closer to home and take place within a more confined environment compared to the national stage of They'll Call It Treason. I want to delve into more mental and emotional trials and how actions have consequences. While it is far from final, I'm planning and writing the new book under the working title A Night in Hell. For now I think that says enough. Just keep an eye out for it.
