Smashwords book reviews by Julia Crane

  • Paradox - The Angels Are Here (Book 1) on June 06, 2011

I wasn't supposed to read this book until I finished two others I had in front of it. After a peak inside I was sucked in and finished the book in one evening. It was a little hard to follow at times, but the author did an amazing job with the characters. I will be reading the next in the series. I want to know more about these interesting characters and original view on angels. I'm very curious what the future holds for Grace. I rarely give five stars, but the fact that I couldn't sleep until I finished it deserves it.
  • Underneath on June 10, 2011

What a great short story! The characters came alive on the pages. I look forward to reading more from this author.
  • Shipwreck on June 19, 2011

Great short story vivid descriptions. The ending was unexpected which is always a good thing.
  • The House on Aug. 09, 2011

I seriously can not get enough of this new author Heather Adkins. I love everything she writes. Her descriptions make it feel like you are watching a movie instead of reading a book. I don't usually read scary stories, but since it was by Adkins I figured I'd give it a shot and I was not disappointed. I hope she has a new release soon!
  • Kiera's Moon on Sep. 02, 2011

I really enjoyed this book. The characters were believable even though they were from other planets. I loved the romance, and the excitement of the war. This is my second read from Lizzy Ford, and I believe I am addicted. I am already anxious to read another
  • Katie's Hope (Rhyn Trilogy, Book Two) on Sep. 06, 2011

I don't even know what to say. What a great book. I am already anxious for book three. I loved how Ford wrapped it all up and made it believable. I really enjoyed the depth of Gabe, and his loyalty to Rhyn. Lizzy Ford is a very talented writer, and I look forward to reading everything she puts in print.
  • Barbary Point on Sep. 25, 2011

This was a beautiful story. I don't usually read this genre, however I've heard from friends how great it was so decided to give it a shot. Nayes is an amazingly talented author. Barbary Point flowed well, and I was quickly pulled into the story line. I finished the book in one sitting. The ending took me by surprise, but it seemed fitting. I look forward to reading more from Alan Nayes.
  • Secret Bloodline on Oct. 03, 2011

I really enjoyed this book. I have read most of Jager's books and I think this is my favorite. The author did a great job of building the romance between Kairi and Aiden. Lots of emotions and drama made this book a page turner. I read it in one siting.
