Biography
I'm a debut author, and my book A DIFFERENT KIND OF FIRE & FURY: REVENGE debuted as a #1 KDP International Bestseller.
I was inspired to write this story for three reasons;
1) #metoo era (And this doesn't mean I dislike men because I do like men, and I also think the majority of men are great guys, but it's a reckoning for many women who have been assaulted and were afraid to speak out.)
2) In college, before stalking was a legal term, I was stalked by my mailman, and he broke into my house after my boyfriend left with the intentions of raping me or raping and killing me. I would never find out because he was thwarted by my dog as he got within ten feet of me. I used what I knew about him in this story, and I read a lot about the psychology of stalkers to create what I didn't know.
3) A distant relative was the victim of incest by her father, and I was surprised to learn that her mother and sisters turned on her. As I studied the psychology of similar families, I learned that this pattern of behavior was more common than we'd like to believe, so I thought it would make for an interesting fictional character in my book, the murder of college student, Susie Murphy.(She's a fictional character.)
This book has been reviewed by multiple professional organizations, and it's been very positively reviewed including from Kirkus Reviews who is notorious for ripping novels to shreds. This is their summary of A DIFFERENT KIND OF FIRE & FURY: REVENGE: "A fiery, absorbing, impressive crime fiction procedural sure to shake up fans of the genre and introduce readers to a new author with great potential." They were so impressed with my book that they featured it in their 6/15/18 magazine which is distributed to their customer base.
I'm also an avid international traveler, and I love to learn about different cultures, so on one of my trips into the Amazon region of Peru, I formed the story idea behind KILOS & KILLER HEELS which the 1st 3 chapters are included at the end of A DIFFERENT KIND OF FIRE & FURY: REVENGE. It's just been finished, and I received the 1st professional review back. They said it's mesmerizing and a book you can't put down.
