I received this book free from the author in exchange for an honest review. This book of short stories sucked me in from the very beginning. The books follows Willow through her life and shares her experiences with ghosts. Which I might add is definitely an above average number of encounters. I felt that this book really hit close to home because I also believe in ghosts and have had my fair share of encounters with them. Although, unlike Willow my experiences haven't been that scary. I also feel that ghost stories are the creepiest of the paranormal genre for that fact that they are real. This book was a fast- paced read that keeps that reader clinging to the edge of their chair with their heart pounding. I glad that Willow experienced good spirits and not just the scary ones. If I were Willow I wou ls definitely be doing some ghostly research. Thanks Willow for sharing your experiences!

I received this book free from the author in exchange for an honest review. This book was crazy, in a good way. The beginning of the book was terribly sad and my heart broke for the main character Netty. Finally thing s started to turn around for her. She was finally free and happy. Once you think everything will be okay and the characters live happily ever after , your hopes and dreams for them are crushed over and over. My heart was broken by JK Accinni repeatedly. Awful things happen in this book that had me wanting to vomit amongst the tears I wa shedding. This book was amazing and terrible at the same time. I have no idea how book two will fit in, but I plan to find out. I grew very attached to most of the characters, how could you not once you know what hey have been through. I loved Netty, Wil and Baby. As you fall in love with them and their stories, JK Accinni forces you to watch as their lives get ripped apart time after time. The villain in this book is so despicable that I wanted to kill him personally, but only after he suffered immensely. (Hands clapping) great job JK Accinni. Now I wish I would have started the series sooner lol. You definitely have a way with details. I would recommend this book to Sci-fi lovers and those who like a romantic tragedy.

I received this book free from the author in exchange for an honest review. This is the second book in the Species Intervention #6609 series by A.K. Accinni that I have been able to read and review. I thought book one was crazy, Echo is ten times more crazy. I actually for it to be very disturbing and I was actually afraid that I was going to have very vivid nightmares from reading it. J.K. Accinni is such a detailed writer that my mind will forever be scarred from some of the events that occurred in this book. I thought I felt like committing after reading book one Baby, well it has nothing on Echo. Besides the disgusting things that occurred in this novel, I found it to somehow be the happier book. I felt like the characters in this book ended up better off then the characters from book one, obviously. Echo was by far the best character. She was so cute and caring and I just wanted to pick her up and cuddle her. Abby,Jose and Scotty were decent, but they were just "there" compared to Echo. And don't even get me started on the "bad guys". They deserved what they got and all I have to say to Armoni is "Karma is a bitch". Despite these books being completely disturbing due to the graphic details, I can't seem to put them down. I will continue the series for sure. I would recommend them to sci- fi lovers and NOT to the faint of heart.

I received this book free from the author in exchange for an honest review. This is the third book that I have been lucky enough to read by the amazing Tempest C. Avery, and it is my favourite so far! Don't let the cover trick you into thinking this is an adult novel, it's YA ALL THE WAY!! Once you read the book it will make more sense lol. I am also a huge fan of Greek mythology, so this was an awesome book for that exact thing. Tempest C. Avery made the classic tale of Hades and Persephone her very own. There were a lot of twists and secrets that I was not expecting. It was such a fun, light read. The descriptions of the Underworld were amazing. And the banter between the characters was hilarious. Spencer is a funny character who knows what she wants and will do anything to get it. I would also say she is brave because she beaks off not only the God of the Underworld but also his brother the God of Death. Just because Spencer started off strong doesn't mean that she didn't grew over the course of the novel. Hadrian is not what one who expect from being the God of the Underworld, I was thinking more of the lines of Hades from Hercules the cartoon with his blue flame hair and bad teeth lol. Hadrian is the opposite, he is a hottie with a body!! Yes, I went there. I wouldn't mind spending six months with him, even if it was in the Underworld. I would recommend this book to mythology fans who want the myth but one that is a little different then what they are used to. I will definitely carry on with this series. I need to know what happens to the love triangle, if they catch the bad "guy" and how this bond between brothers will work. Oh and I want more on the walkers!!

I received this book free from the author in exchange for an honest review. This is the third by in The Vampire Hunter's Daughetr series by Jennifer Malone Wright. The author has continued to shock me in each book. More surprises unfold in this installmet. For such a short story there is definitely a lot going on. We meet a Demi- goddess, vampires die, hunters die, dating is happening lol and I'm sure more stuff will be going down by the next book. You know, just your typical kick ass events that make book by Jennifer Malone Wright great. Chloe learns a lot about herself and her heritage in this book and I can't wait to see how that knowledge is applied to the book. People if you haven't read this series you need too!!
  • Once Upon a Zombie Apocalypse - Kylee on April 24, 2013

I received this book free from the author in exchange for an honest review. WOW! This book was the SHIT!!! I definitely was laughing my ass off. Hey K.B. was a certain character based on you by chance? LOL. I mean cotton candy vodka was not a dead giveaway or anything :) best part of the whole story was when Kylee went flying over the airplane seat haha. Oh and a certain famous signing teen who may have possibably had "beaver fever" HAHAHAHAHA!!! Although I did find Kylee to be the more reserved charcter, Jade was more brave. Jade also had the whole survival/ killing zombies down pact, almost like she may practice in her basement when she isn't writing? But anywho, enough rambling, everyone NEEDS to read this short story. IT IS EPIC!!! I can't wait to dig my teeth into Jade, no pun intended ;)

I received this book free from the author in exchange for an honest review. I love werewolves!!! They are so hot and sexy! Think of Alcide from True Blood, yum yum :) Willow gives there reader another perspective on pack life, the pack is lead by a feale alpha. I don't think that I have read another book like that. Even though it was about big, bad wolves, Willow was a cute and fun read. I also enjoyed all the SHOCKERS!!! Although I did find one of them predictable but still surprising at the same time. Like your reading it and you make a prediction and you know it is right but you don't want it to be true. There were also a few random romances and one serious one that I can't wait to see where it ends up. This book just had that"it" factor for me, I just wanted to read until I was finished. I loved these charcters. I felt like they are had extreme chemistry adn were very comfortable with each other. They all fought and bugged each other like siblings but would also die for each other. You could really see Willoe mature a lot but I know she still haves a lot to learn to go from a good leader to a great one. Those boys, good thing they are hot because sometimes they aren't very smart lol. I can't wait to follow up one everything in the next book. "Fern" is going to be so intense! Will good prevail or will evil dominate? That is the question. And I can't wait to find out the answer. I would recommend this book to paranoraml lovers and werewolf fans.

I received this book free from the author in exchange for an honest review. So be honest it was a lot harder to write a review for this book because I read it second lol. I already knew what was going to happen. The books are the same but told from different perspectives.i still friggin laughed my ass of at all the funny parts. But this one also showed parts that we didn't get to see in Kylee. One huge part in particular. I did really enjoy how you could pick up either book and read in whatever order you wanted. Also with this style or writing you learn new things about the story and characters. I can't wait to continue on with the series. All readers who love zombies or post apocalyptic stories should read these books.

I received his book free from the author in exchange for an honest review. I love this series! I just wish that I was reading the complete collection instead of the short stories. Shit is always just about to go down and then BAM!!! Cliffhanger ending. I feel like this instalment had the most emotion behind it, because of the obvious reasons in book three. I could feel the remorse and also regret. But most of all you could feel Drew fighting between blaming Chloe for the incident and but he was also in agreement that things need to change. Chloe and Drew are being forced apart by these feelings but at the same time coming to the realization that they love each other. Sorry Gavin. (Or this is how I am interpreting it). I can't wait to find out what happens! Vampire lovers and fans of vampire hunters need to add this series to their TBR lists ASAP!!
  • Erin The Fire Goddess: The Beginning on June 14, 2013

I received this book free from the author in exchange for an honest review. I really felt like Lavinia Urban has a new idea going with this book and I thoroughly enjoyed it. I love how I could actually hear the characters UK "accents" as I read. A few words did make me have to stop an think what the term meant, but I found this to be an interesting part of the book. I did find the book to be a bit short, but it did cover a lot of ground in such few pages. The author has given herself a lot of growing room for the next books. I found Erin the Fire Goddess: The Beginning to be a fun, cute and fast read. At the beginning of the novel I felt bad for Erin because she was so self conscious of her birthmark and because all that kids were jerks too her. But now that she has met Sean and has an understating as to why she has the birthmark I think her perception of herself will change drastically. Surprisingly, I actually really liked Erin's sister Kasey Ray. At first I thought she would be some spoiled brat who was mean to Erin but I was pleasantly surprised. I'm not too sure about Sean yet, I feel like we just met him and its too soon to make assumptions about him. All in all this was an enjoyable read and I am looking forward to containing on with the series. I have some questions that I need answered. Paranormal and YA lovers should read this book. You won't be disappointed.

I received this book free from the author in exchange for an honest review. Part 5 is my favourite edition to The Vampire Hunter's Daughter series to date! I just felt overall, more excitement with this book because Chole is right in the "dragon's den" and it's intense. I'm glad that we finally get to learn more about Chloe's dad Trevor. I loved hearing his background story of how he became a vampire but I can't believe what a diabolical asshole he is. He definitely won't be winning father of the year anytime soon lol. I also loved the introduction of new characters and I can't wait to find out if they can be trusted or not. Jennifer Malone Wright has done it again. She has given shocks and surprises in the least amount of pages that she can and leaves the reader begging for more. Another five start read from this talented author. With each book the story gets better and better. With an ending like that I can't wait to scoop up book six. I would recommend this book to vampire and YA lovers. And anyone else who enjoys a great series.
