Where did you grow up, and how did this influence your writing?
Alaska has always been my home. I can't imagine living anywhere else. I believe being isolated really forced my imagination to bloom to its full potential. I've always had a strong imagination but running through the wildness around my childhood home and imagining some grand story wouldn't have been the same in a crowded city.
