Sweet, refreshing, ultra-sexy little story. I loved the great job the author did with the characterization and plot in such a few pages. And most importantly, I loved how open, sincere and uncomplicated Shania's and Lionel's feelings and actions were.
Well-written and fast-paced, with a lot of tenderness and sensitivity. However, I absolutely HATED the leading lady, Drew, because I found her very hard to relate to. She was snobby and cold, and treated Max like a dog. And I mean, come on, who can feel any sympathy whatsoever for a character whose worst failure in life is being too beautiful? As for Max, he was sweet and likeable, but the way he was a complete pushover when it came to Drew grated on my nerves. But I totally LOVED the secondary characters, Tiffani and Ken. Thank God for them. Too bad they don't have their own novel.
Soooo hot, sweet and tender!!! I love the step-sibling trope because it usually deals with an "excess of love", and I think the author did a great job of portraying this... those complicated, jumbled, but oh-so-real feelings.
