Kate McGinn credits her Irish heritage for her love of storytelling. Since she was a young girl, she was a voracious reader, and her parents scolded her for "always having her head in a book". Over the years, Kate has worked as a registered nurse; served in the Army Reserves; owned a Bed & Breakfast and spent several years living in Italy. All of these life experiences have provided inspiration for her stories. Kate began writing her first book in 2015 and has published three books in the past three years — the Clare Thibodeaux Series which includes Exodus, Winter’s Icy Caress, and Never Show Your Hand. Kate and her husband have two adult sons, and they live near the Mississippi River in Wisconsin.
