Biography

Truthfully, I find it difficult to write about myself, but I guess in a nutshell I'm a tree hugger who also loves animals, especially cats. Currently, I have too many cats to count, and considering on starting a nonprofit for the furry felines, since I rescue all that will let me. I guess you could even say that I'm that cat lady who likes to wear hats. I thought Kat's in the Hat was a bit silly so I decided to write it as a tagline. I may be an adult, and to old to enjoy Dr. Seuss, but this series is one of my all time favorites. That and anything that was written by Beverly Cleary and Judy Blume. Over the years, I've read books from fictional characters that come to life, real crime stories, and even haunted tales. Some of my favorites are Lovely Bones and the Flowers in the Attic Series.

I also read a great deal of self help-books, Divine Intuition is one of my favorites by Lynne Robinson and everything that Sonia Choquette writes has grabbed my attention. Which is why I have begun to plunk out a few of my own, now that I feel my life's experiences have some nuggets of wisdom to share with others. Depression grabbed me and almost wouldn't let go a few years ago, which is why I wrote,'Get Out of the Depression Pit'. And now I want to help others dig themselves out of the pit and into a life of happiness and fulfillment. This book is free always free right here on Smashwords. No one should have to pay to be happy again. (Please leave a review once you feel better and whole again!)-thank you!

I believe in helping out whenever possible by paying it forward. I'm honored to be working with the nonprofit Negative Space Gallery. It's more than an art gallery, it's a sanctuary for the artist. For several years now they've been helping the musician and artist. But now, they're adding the author. That's where I come in. Smashwords Interview

What motivated you to become an indie author?
I have thoughts and stories in my head that I need to get out for my own survival, so becoming an Indie Author seemed the most sensible and rewarding. I love being published by Smashwords, it provides a wonderful platform for it's authors with a tremendous amount of support.
Do you remember the first story you ever read, and the impact it had on you?
I don't remember the first story that I read to myself, but I do recall the first storytime at school when I was in the second grade. The teacher would have us gather around him and sit on shag carpeting with a few bean bag chairs that we'd fight over to lay on. We'd listen to Mr. Delany read the fabulous tale, "The Lion, The Witch, and the Wardrobe". Still love the book to this day!
