I LOVED this book!!!! A friend of a friend is friends with the author (haha) and I'm so glad the word got passed to me to pick it up. It is written with raw, heartfelt honesty that makes the protagonist's heartbreak palpable. This may also be because it rings so true for any woman who's had her heart broken. I've tried to read chick lit before and haven't always liked it because I find the characters whiny and self-pitying, but this book casts a strong woman in the lead. It depicts Lina on a dark, lost path that eventually leads to her own self-discovery. She reflects on her actions, pondering life and the meaning therein rather than just lamenting her situation. There is also a nice dose of comedy to lighten the mood occasionally. I laughed, I cried, yadda, yadda...highly, HIGHLY recommend!!
