There's nothing I can't do if it doesn't involve talking to real people! I'm a Black woman in British Columbia, and I have always loved books and writing. Writing came as a natural extension of being a huge blerd; I started writing the backgrounds to my characters in [popular fantasy roleplaying game], then I started writing stories about them, and then as I got older, the stories got dirtier as I explored my own sexuality, fantatsies, and turn-ons. The internet was super slow back then, so I really got into written erotica, which only broadened my horizons more!
For years my stories were either in my head or hastily scribbled and partially typed across several generations of technology. My friends finally convinced me to take the plunge and start putting my work out for others to enjoy! It took a long time to work up to it, and now I'm glad they pushed me. Now I'm writing more, interacting more, and couldn't be happier!
Where did you grow up, and how did this influence your writing?
I grew up in an amazing household in British Columbia, we moved a lot, but I learned to accept me for me, and that being yourself was okay. This influenced my writing by finally letting me realize that I can write what's inside me, not just what I think people will want. In my case, that means smutty fiction!
When did you first start writing?
Years ago, but it was just for fun, and just for me. I have heaps of notebooks filled with all sorts of stories, some hot, some not, and that was it. But recently my friends convinced me to come out from my shell and put it all out there, so here I am!
