Kelly was born and raised in Saskatchewan Canada and currently lives outside the City of Saskatoon. She is a loving mom to three beautiful daughters. She and is currently working on a number of fiction, non-fiction books. In her spare time she enjoys gardening, spending time with her family and has a passion for writing in all genres. What's the story behind your latest book?
This is a hard one to answer, because I have so much writing that I am working on getting out to my readers, also, now that I have become helping others publish through smashwords by formatting and editing for other writers, on top of not having a reliable laptop to do what needs to be done, it could be anything, poetry however seems to be some of my favorite stuff to write, yet I am working on a number of academic and educational books, as well as my experience with PTSD, and a few how to books, on top of short stories, and I intend to publish some of my public speeches I have been honoured to give to many conferences and events through the years. I guess, just be surprised :)
Do you remember the first story you ever wrote?
I must have been in the third grade and it was a story of a talking squirrel and other animals on a wilderness adventure....
A true short story account of the need to educate the uninformed about the reality of addiction and the truth of recovery being possible. Drug addiction and recovery is still so misunderstood and riddled with ignorance and judgement. This story will open eyes and alter perceptions for the better.
Through openly exploring such touchy and most often secretive battles these subjects become less taboo and less shaming. These are very real struggles men and women across the globe often face alone.
