Smashwords Interview

What's the story behind your latest book?
My latest is 'Eye of the Chameleon.' It's a detective story featuring an ex-cop who stumbles across a strange girl in a mental institution and then tries to solve the mystery that surrounds her. It's set in South Africa and contains a series of twists. I always enjoy bringing a bit of history into the story and some weird and bizarre facts.
What motivated you to become an indie author?
Traditional publishing is limited and it's very difficult to get a foot in the door. Writing is an evolving process. It changes and adapts as the author finds himself and his place in the writing world. Baby steps are required before we can take the big leap. Indie allows authors to do what they love and to evolve. It also keeps the control over the publication in the hands of the author.
