Loved this story. I couldn't put it down as I was intrigued to see where the story would take me....and what a delightful journey it was. And just as delightful was the surprise ending! Thank you Angela for putting your thoughts & feelings into this story.

Oh my gosh. I have just finished reading this story and it had me heartbroken, enthralled and then happy for the author/Mum. What a range of emotions she has evoked in a short story. As painful as it obviously would have been putting pen to paper (so to speak) I am guessing it was very cathartic for the author and I would hope that having seen it in writing hopefully she can see that the only action she could be accused of is loving her daughters and her grandchildren & that certainly isn't anything to be sorry for. Wow just loved it, even though it tugged at my heartstrings, and I had to keep reading to see what the outcome was. Excellent writing Angela Hope - there is always Hope.
  • Harmony's Magic Pyjamas on Jan. 02, 2018

I loved Harmony’s Magic Pyjamas and how it took the essence of a child’s Christmas longing for something special to allow the dream to become real. Transporting the reader to their childhood and the thrill of Christmas.
  • The Doll With Odd Eyes on Jan. 02, 2018

Oh I loved this story. Very intriguing and I wanted to see how it would end. A delightful story that showed you how compromising is possible even for something as simple as a lost doll. An outcome that any child (& adult!) would love.
  • Snapper Jack the Crocodile on Jan. 02, 2018

Great story that enthralled me to see what was happening in the crocodile enclosure. Such a funny tale and I’m sure children would love to see what happens in the life of a croc! Love the great illustrations which show the crocs in their habitat and love their expressions. Delightful for all ages
  • Slither and Dither on Jan. 02, 2018

Loved this story of life after Winter for Slither & Dither. I was intrigued to see what was happening to them with the changes they found. The author, Angela Hope, had me on the edge of my chair to see what the outcome would be, and I'm sure other readers would also feel the same. Lovely story.
  • Charlotte Brown's Patchwork Quilt on Feb. 28, 2018

Intriguing story.....and very moving. I love how the Author, Angela, drew me in teasing me into wanting to see how the story ends. And what an ending. I totally became involved and was very moved by the ending that I shed a few tears. An excellent and very thought provoking story.
  • My One Legged Friend on June 26, 2018

Wonderful story. As with all of Angela Hopes stories that I have read I wanted to see what would happen......they always have a sense of intrigue to see what the ending will be. The deeper meaning also highlights issues with fishing line damage to our environment. Excellent!

  • The Night Before on Oct. 17, 2020

The Night Before A very sad and heartbreaking story that fills one with a feeling of despair for Toni and what she is battling but to see how she comes through this with assistance from counselling and support of those around her is a testament to the human spirit. A well written story by the Author Angela as are all her stories and very interesting through to the end.
