Doodles Manuel

Wife of a wonderful, hardworking, man of 25 years come Christmas day 2011.I have four boys ages 24 to 8 years of age.My children are my life, my gift to humanity, and the best thing GOD could have ever given me, though undeserving as I am.I am retired from a 15 year career, though my specialty I am not ready to reveal as of yet, though it is not a seedy, embarrassing, or illegal career, nor was it a lucrative career. Personal reasons keep me from revealing it as of yet. My health forced my retirement. I have rheumatoid arthritis, which progressed untreated for a while due to misdiagnosis. I have struggled with many private issues, and I am ready to live again. The books from smashwords have been my salvation through many difficult days and nights, so I wish to thank all the authors for their worlds they created which has gently nursed me back to health. Thank you for the free reads, for the years I went with no job, and no money, waiting for social security to decide my fate, you kept me away from the stress of it all and I can not thank you enough. Thank you smashwords!

Loved this short story.Would be a great start to a fantastic novel for this writer. The author was creative with a confidence that showed in Miss Aames' work. Without using large words that most people don't use anymore, and don't understand anyway, she delivered the story in detail with a desire for a long sequel without leaving you feeling the story cut off without an ending. Thank you Lani Aames!

The pain of the story was palpable, such a sad end to a realistic tale. Many true tales meant for learning a life lesson are frequently sad and painful, as this one was. I felt the characters were true to their nature, made real to the reader or fleshed out, if you will. The story line is not one chosen to sell books, but to be true to the legend I felt, whether that was the author's intention, I could not say. This story of a love so great that the lover was able to release the one they loved to free their spirit of a tortured existence , even though that meant losing them forever.
