Kevin Petty
Biography
Mr. Kevin Petty was born on May 21, 1966 in Philadelphia, PA.
He attended the Philadelphia Public School system until he was age 14 and then he and his family relocated to South Boston, VA where he completed his High School and College Education.
As a baby, he was introduced to Jesus and the church by his mother. God has blessed Mr. Petty with a beautiful mother whom he loves dearly. She has been there for him throughout his entire life.
At the age of 7, he started ushering on the Jr. Usherboard and he even served on the Board as president for several years. Mr. Petty says it is his extreme pleasure to serve God and His people in this capacity as he realizes ushering is a ministry and he says; unless you have the Spirit of Christ; you cannot serve effectively.
Inspite of all his struggles down through the years; God has always been there for him and He has always been faithful. Mr. Petty says if it had not been for God's mercy and forgiveness he could be dead and on his way to a burning Hell!
The Lord has inspired Mr. Petty and blessed him to write and publish three books; JERICHO, My Walls Are Coming Down, Jericho, My Walls Are Coming Down II Overcoming the struggles of Poverty and The King In Me Overcoming Low Self-Esteem! These books deal with rejection, sexuality, low self-esteem and poverty. He wrote these books because he felt it was time to expose the devil and his attempts to destroy his life. He also wrote these books that he may help others to overcome and to be able to expose the devil as well.
His prayer is; if he can help someone along the way to overcome and get the victory, then his life would not have been in vain.
In closing II Corinthians 2:14 says; Now thanks be unto God, which always causes us to triumph in Christ Jesus. The Lord's blessings be upon you is his prayer!
