Don Yarber


Native of Southern Illinois, Don Yarber started writing as a young man in school. He wrote poetry and short stories and once, with a friend, wrote a western novel, all in longhand.

After retiring in 1998, Don published "Bodies and Beaches" and then "Corpses and Canyons" in 2008, followed by "Death and Deep Waters" in 2011. His 4th book, "The Sign Killer" is now available. "Evil and Everglades" is Don's 5th novel, the 4th featuring LA Private Eye Kip Yardley. Don's books consistently get 4 star ratings on

Watch for "Train to the Sun" Don's first attempt at writing a Western. It is a mystery combined with hard riding, quick shooting action of 1870's Arizona Territory. Should be available for purchase in early March of 2014.

Don is currently working on "Joint Effort in Death", a mystery.
