Kitten K. Jackson stays up all night long writing about things she hopes she never has to experience, while trying to negotiate some elbow room from the queen of the couch--her doxie, Peej.
What are your five favorite books, and why?
* A Time to Kill by John Grisham -- I love Grisham's sarcastic humor. Great story. Gut wrenching and smart, with humor sprinkled throughout. * The Firm by John Grisham -- Being from Alabama, I love that this book mentions places on our Gulf Coast. That, aside from being a really great thriller. * Master For Tonight I & II by Elaine Barris -- I edited both of these books. I've never been much for vampires or erotica (though my books have some pretty graphic sex scenes), but Elaine's characters are so lovable and believable, and the storyline is so engrossing, they sucked me in. I'm a vampire fan now! MFTI is really good, but MFTII is a lot better! Very hard to put down! And Elaine is a southern girl. : ) * Created Darkly by Gena D. Lutz -- I also edited this book. Another vampire book! This one is about a necromancer who slays vampires. It's imaginative and smart, and I can't wait to read the next in the series. * Seven Unholy Days by Jerry Hatchett -- I love Jerry's writing style. He's another southern writer, which makes his thrillers even more special to me. His knowledge of...practically everything is amazing! Pawnbroker is also spellbinding, and I'm looking forward to his next thriller, Unallocated Space.
What do you read for pleasure?
I usually read what I like to write--THRILLERS! Twist me in every direction, and I'll love you forever. Just don't kill animals in your books. I hate it when people write animals into their books just to kill them off or hurt them for the sake of shock or suspense. I won't ever do that.
Author Kristen Quinn is in love with a great guy named Scott Landen. The problem is that Scott neglected to mention the fact that he's living with an unstable woman named Tonya Hudson whom he's been trying to leave for quite a while. When Tonya finds a photo of the happy couple on Scott's phone, she can't hide the crazy anymore!
Cheaters & Broken Hearts is about facing reality and putting the blame where it belongs--on the cheater.
Kitten K. Jackson candidly discusses her experiences on all sides of the love triangle and uses the knowledge she gained to help you learn how to heal from the agony of infidelity with logic, direct language, and humor. It's like listening to your best friend.
I love the idea of a strong woman who isn't afraid of what anyone thinks, and who isn't afraid to go for what she wants. I was always on the other side--being the one to be picked out of the crowd by the singer. I always thought it must be great to be the star, and be able to take your pick of the guys in the crowd. In Rock & Roll, I was able to live vicariously through Savannah, and do just that. With Savannah, I got a chance to enjoy the kind of casual sex I always wanted to have--where I was the one in control! I look forward to reading the next volume in the Savannah Rossi Chronicles. (My husband looks forward to my reading it, too!) ;)
I've never been a big vampire or erotica fan, but I had the honor of editing Master For Tonight, and I'm still amazed at the talent of first-time author, Elaine Barris!
Julian, 'turned' by his viciously jealous Maker, decides to risk everything to be with Kate (the object of his obsession) for one night, and then 'influence' her to erase it all from her memory, hoping to keep them both safe. After taking her to heights she never could've imagined before, he realizes he can't just walk away from Kate. He's in love with her.
Things take a horrible turn when Evangeline, Julian's Maker, finds that she's been betrayed. Julian suffers excruciating torture, both mental and physical, at her evil hands. Then she sets her sights on Kate!
When I finished this book the first time, I sat there, mouth hanging open, heart pounding, desperately clawing at the edge of the cliff from which I was dangling, hoping the sequel would be finished soon, so I could breathe again!
I would highly recommend this book to anyone who enjoys vampire romance mixed with very spicy (and a little freaky) sex scenes! You won't be disappointed!
