  • The Whistle on Feb. 10, 2016

Cool concept and well told. Having worked in the military and for a few high tech companies I could relate with the main characters feeling like they were cogs in a machine gone out of control, only to find that the machine controlled them, right down to every aspect of their lives . . .
  • The Unmasked on Feb. 10, 2016

This is a trippy horror story that plays with an old plot: "Guy breaks down on the road, walks through a storm to a nearby house in the woods and finds things are not what they seem." Maintains a gothic sort of horror ambience throughout with vivid descriptions of the stormy night and the strange building back in the woods. The characters are making mysterious eye contact and exchanging devious smiles and whispers throughout.
  • Sixty-Four Days, A Sea Story on Feb. 10, 2016

This story starts fast and never slows down. It is about an old Navy sailor who has to handle one last disaster at sea before he retires. He is a guy who is very easy to like, reminds me of my older cousin who joined the Navy. Having spent some time in the military myself, I could easily relate to him. This story is also a high-tech thriller involving a massive aircraft carrier and a jet plane loaded with bombs. The author masterfully draws the setting, locks the reader into the plot and moves the story along quickly to it's explosive climax.
