I was born and grew up in mid and northern Montana. After graduating high school, I moved to North Carolina where I met and married my first husband. Two years later, I had my one and only child, Brenda. I attended the community college and completed my third year in UNC-W. I was very active in my church in North Carolina, where I was on the jail ministry team, interpreting for deaf ministry (teaching a class once), sang in the choir, began the hospitality committee, was active in the women’s ministry and various children’s ministries.
When the marriage ended in disaster, I moved to the Portland area to be with my family. There I completed my degree in elementary education at PSU. I involved myself in teaching in the church, mainly children (even adults one summer). Now, I continue to be active in my church, working in various departments, mostly teaching children.
Richard and I met at a singles event and eventually married. We stay active in our church community and our family. Richard and I enjoy six grandchildren.
