LD Dauphin and Vaya Dauphin are mother and daughter. Submarine Adventure is their first collaboration. Both wanted to write for a young adult audience, about real world events. Submarine Adventure has been likened to Edward Stratemeyer’s 1898 classic "Under Dewey at Manila." While the brother’s in Submarine Adventure are reminiscent of the Hardy Boys (also written by Edward Stratemeyer.
