Lies of Lesser Gods
Gralyre's past is an empty abyss filled with nightmare echoes of his own beheading. Thrust into the middle of a war between the last of humanity and the tyrant, Doaphin, who has ruled for centuries from Driesenheld, Gralyre struggles to survive a world that is foreign to him. Pursued by Doaphin's evil creatures, feared by the Rebels, and plagued by his mysterious nightmares, Gralyre must find a way to survive when his past could be a dangerous viper waking to destroy those he has sworn to protect. The enigma of Gralyre's missing past consumes the Rebel Sorceress, Catrian. He’s a trained Sorcerer, grown to manhood, when all others perish at the hands of Doaphin, and his nightmares hint at the prophesized return of the Lost Prince. He is the perfect spy, and the perfect hero, rolled into one being. And she wants him. Can she find a way to trust him, or will she be forced to destroy him? Does she have the right to roll the dice against the Gods of Fortune for the lives of her people? A warrior without equal, Gralyre seems destined to decide the fate of mankind.
