I loved this story! I got a little miffed that it ended so suddenly and I could not get the second book right away. It was frightening because I could see how what was being portrayed could be happening right now!
The way Ms. Hanrahan deals with each character's dual nature is pretty clever. Please hurry and get the ending to us!
This book puts all the talk and chest beating about end times into a very believable framework. The main character Becky, a young teenaged girl is thrust into a situation that is the ultimate test for her soul. She loses both her father and brother. Her relationship with her mother becomes strained all because she secretly purchased a Bible.
The Tribulation is in full swing and people all around the world seem to be unaware that this is it. The story is emotionally moving especially the ending. I won't spoil it for readers.
Only down side was the quoting of scripture was a little heavy for a novel. Because it was placed at the end of the book it didn't interfere with the story.

Thought the concept was interesting. Found the characters to be a predictable. Could see it ending differently.
