What are your five favorite books, and why?
I Adore Jane Austin's Pride and Prejudice. It transports me back to a time when it was alright for a woman to be a gentle yet strong. Though I am a feminist and strongly believe in women's rights part of me harkens back to a time when women did not have to work and were taken care of.
I also love Laurel K. Hamilton's Anita Blake Series. Her vampire hunter is a strong female lead that rarely needs to be rescued and seems to do most of the rescuing. The books have a dark overtone that draws me into the them and feeds my darker nature as an author.
Tony Hillerman's Series based on the Navajo reservation with his detective Jim Chee fascinated me. For those that do not know I am dyslexic and though I knew how to read it was difficult for me to do so. I would order Hilllerman's book on tape and check out the print books from the library to read and listen at the same time. He helped me become a writer.
Describe your desk
My desk looks like a tornado struck it. I work form home as well as write so its sad to say it messy plus I have two computers on my desk as well. One special feature on my desk is often my writing partner Micah Andrew. He loves to sit on my keyboard while I am writing. For you that haven't guess he is my cat.
