The Tobago Poet: I developed my zeal for creative writing at a 200 pupil elementary school, perched on a hill overlooking the moderate expanse of my peaceful rock. A rock among many such rocks scattered across the Caribbean Sea; mine was named after the farmed tobacco plant. After more than a decade in London, I reflect on a discovery that shaped my youngest years; reinforced by my father, the sergeant. "Considered observation, and an untainted perceptiveness, is a powerful tool in understanding, and anticipating human actions, and their consequences."
