What's the story behind your latest book?
It was an early morning and being the early riser I was up pondering what to do with myself. So I found myself at the keyboard being entertained by whatever would come up. Then the short poem that became "If Today Was Tomorrow" just sort of appeared. In reading what I had written I kept reading it over thinking, "Is that the way it would be? Would you actually be where you had been?"
I wasn't intending to turn it into any sort of book. But though it was a very short poem it did a good job of making me think. So, I thought it might be entertaining to others also. Then I showed it to Sue and her illustrations made me smile. And we published it.
What is the greatest joy of writing for you?
It's completely the create that it allows me. Everyone likes creating things, we all do it at out jobs every day. Then some create on their cars, some create on their shoe collection for others it's their animals--dress em, groom em, post their pictures. It is different for different people. For me it's my writing, I view it as an art form. Does it create an emotional response in the reader? If it does then it is art, if it doesn't? Well back to the drawing board, the next one will. It is simply the create of it and the effect it creates in others.
