The early years for Laura saw her following a career as an actress, living and working in London. She worked in television and on stage with the National Theatre and Royal Court.
After a while Laura became disenchanted with the life of an actress and playing out the lives of fictional characters lost its appeal. She decided to find out who the real Laura Graham was. The result of that decision was a life changing move to Italy, alone except for her beloved cats.
She took up residence in the back alley of a small Tuscan village and struggled to make ends meet as she settled into her new life. The story 'Down a Tuscan Alley', her first novel, describes this period of her life, the problems she had to overcome and the beginnings of her career as a writer. Something she had always wanted to do.
Now you can read some of Laura's stories. There should be no surprise that, after her first book about her move to Italy, her next topic would involve her cats as the inspiration of her series of cat stories for children and cat lovers.
The first in the series is 'A Tale of Two Tuscan Cats'. This was quickly followed by 'Tuscan Cats Get into Mischief' and her third in the series is now nearing completion. So if you love cat stories you will be sure to love these offerings from an avid cat lover.

Tuscan Cats Get Into Mischief
The Italian cats from Tuscany go on holiday in the country
This is the second in the series of the dancing, talking cats from Italy. It is definitely a case of the cats taking charge in their country residence. Enter Spiritino, a tom cat from the local farm who bowls over Julie, but not Rosetta. She thinks farm cats are a bit common.
A Tale of Two Tuscan Cats
A delightful story of the antics of two cats, one a feral kitten and the other an abandoned, domestic cat. Both rescued into a loving home by an English lady living with her Italian husband.
The characters and antics of the cats are amusingly illustrated in this book that has clearly been written by an admirer and lover of cats. Great for adults and children alike.
