Biography

Born in Alberta, Canada, LAURA L. COMFORT is a freelance writer whose works include fantasy novels, script writing and educational resources. She has been a guest speaker at schools, Girl Guide groups and Literacy Day Events. She enjoys working with today’s youth in writing workshops and mentoring future novelists. Her passions include writing, creating digital artwork and teaching. Always exploring and trying new things, some of her adventures include skydiving, caving, and climbing Mayan ruins, which has provided lots of material to help create her fantasy world.

What's the story behind your latest book?
It started with a question: If I knew as a teenager what I know now as an adult how would my life be different. I started creating a scenario where my character could get this knowledge and the story evolved from there.
What motivated you to become an indie author?
After I had written a few chapters I shared them with my kids. They were so taken with the story they kept requesting the next chapter. Before long I had a books worth of writing done. My family encouraged me to get it published so they could share it with their friends.
