This is the second time I have read this ebook since I purchased it and I still got really sucked into the story line. Nae the newbie bounty hunter going after the big bad biker lion sounds outrageous, but it was well written. It must have been the cat fight at the beginning of book where Nae has to fight off the psycho lioness that thinks she’s all that, lol yeah right, Nae has her beat. I will undoubtedly read this book again. 😉

Since I skipped through a good portion of this book and I think with valid reason I can’t honestly say I read 100% of this book so there for I won’t claim that I have and I can honestly say I am glad it was a freebee. Seriously, what was this author thinking? Ok, so four men want sex and a wife, ok, then go out a WOO one don’t buy her like some piece of meat. Oh, and it gets better they can recoup their money if they sell their daughters. If I had been April and found that out, they would have been castrated by the next morning. And let’s not forget the father who put her on the auction block just so he can support his future wife in the lap of luxury, really? How is any of that OK? Today we have woman being kidnapped and/or sold into slavery and prostitution and then someone goes and writes a futuristic book where auctioning off women is okay, wow the author brought a whole new meaning to the words “Sugar Coating” with this sick ass bull shit story.

    (no rating)
Not generally my type of story but I think that the author worked hard on this book and that made it was worth reading. You can tell that Cheryl Douglas did here research before creating this seriously dysfunctional family and then describing Cassidy’s fight to find who she really was and the sacrifices she made and the repercussions to her choices that led to herself discovery and happiness. I am really glad that the author didn’t gloss over anything or shorten this book in some way, it would have ruined it. Addiction is a hard thing to fight for everyone involved and a hard thing to watch a loved one go through and this book did a very wonderful job of portraying that. This book does have some error that needs be fixed, mostly missing words or words that don’t belong in sentences for that I am only giving it four stars.

  • The Wedding Trap on July 04, 2021

Beth Bradley catches CIA agent Alex Tanner breaking into her ex’s car and blackmails him into posing as her boyfriend. Then she sees her best friend’s uncle having a meeting with another person and now someone wants her dead and Alex has to keep her alive to find a traitor. I did like the characters and there were some pretty interesting moments like when Beth’s family thought Alex was a man whore. I really felt for Beth but make up a boyfriend was definitely a Junior High move and really just snow balled from there on her. I think the best part of the entire story may have been the bedroom scenes and they were not that steamy but still the best part. First I have to say please rename this book because The Wedding Trap does NOT fit the story line in anyway. Yeah there is a wedding party but it is a wedding for Beth’s best friend and there is no trap involved so it really just doesn’t suit the story line. And that now brings me to the second issue, after changing the name please edit because one or two mistakes no big deal even three or four can get you a three star rating but ten plus edits only bombs the story.

I was given this book for and honest review by Manic Readers Owen MacLaren is shocked find out that Clare is back in town and no one told him. He finds her working in a strip club while having a night out with the guys. Between protecting his pack from psycho rogues and trying to woo a woman who is resisting his charms, Owen has his work cut out for him. Clare Walker loves dancing and Owen MacLaren although she wishes she didn’t love the later especially when memories of him are so painful. So, when he walks into the club she works at and makes a move and she is having a hard time fighting herself and her wolf to resist him. The simple honest truth of the matter was I didn’t finish this book; I can’t even in good consciences count this book as read for my book challenge. I tried several times since receiving this book to complete it, I skipped pages but I was skipping so much that I hit the end of it before I knew it. I think a lot of it has to do with the story being told in the first-person perspective of the two main characters and those are not my favorite s. From what I did read I found the characters to be well written but I was turned off at the strip club. I didn’t find any editing errors; which was a nice change from the last few books I had read and shows that the author took the time and care to show her pride in her work. And I wish that this was my type of book so that I could do it justice in this review but it just wasn’t my cup of tea.
