Smashwords Interview

When did you first start writing?
I started writing when I was about eleven. I rarely finished a story back then; I mostly just wrote chapters or scenes or character plans.
I still do that today; most of my story ideas form around a specific scene or character that I want to write about, but which as a stand-alone would make no sense, thus a complete story is born.
What is the greatest joy of writing for you?
Finishing a story.
The sense of completion and success I have when I finish a book is great, particularly if I know I'll be publishing the book soon. I love going back over my work and editing and proof-reading; I see so many mistakes in the first draft that I have to fix; I strive to always make my works better.
However, I also love the sense of escape that writing gives me; the ability to hop into another world, or into the life of one of my characters, is a great way to relax after a bad day.

I'm still enjoying reading this series, after reading every book about three times. The author has completely mastered the art of releasing juicy little details in small doses, so that my attention was kept throughout the entire story, and I keep going back to read and re-read these books again and again. I'm eagerly awaiting the release of the next book in the series.
