Short Story: Over The Line
on June 15, 2015
Depth: of experience, of raw memory, of in-the-moment-blood-and-monsoon, of vision, wisdom, redemption. I've always instinctively known "war is hell" and am lucky to have not experienced it first hand. But Parker lends the experience. And goes beyond, to why any one soldier would lend himself to that undeniable Hell -- for his/her duty to self, friends and ideals.
The lucky come out the other side with some kind of understanding. It's our great luck that Parker did just that.
