Lavinia Brown


Lavinia Brown has over sixteen years experience in the wine trade and is the former specialist for Bonhams auction house. Half French and an Oxford graduate in Philosophy and Modern Languages, she has lived and worked in London, Hong Kong, Paris and Geneva. She was included in Who’s Who of Wine in Asia, has participated in the harvest and winemaking of Bordeaux’s first growth claret, Château Latour, and was awarded a Vintner’s Scholarship by the Wine & Spirit Education Trust for her top grades. Since launching her own business in 2009 - Lavinia Brown Wine Solutions – she has worked freelance organising private and corporate wine-themed events; creating bespoke wine collections for enthusiasts; and hosting beginner’s lessons. Her pocket-sized guide to the subject, Cracking the Wine Code, is now its third print run and is sold across the UK, France, Switzerland and Hong Kong.
