Smashwords Interview

What's the story behind your latest book?
I worked in Christian radio for 25-plus years. Throughout my career, I desired to connect people to Jesus. I did this by affirming faith, offering hope, and encouraging growth. During my final six years in radio, I hosted an overnight national program and talked with people across the country.
Many of my callers were asking, principally, these questions. 1) What's the world about? 2) How do you have it figured out? 3) How do I fit in? 4) What can I do to make things better?
In several conversations each week, people told me their stories. A good number of those stories were about experienced pain, about struggles, and about what they had tried to do to get relief.
They presented a problem and were asking for a solution. This is what "Getting Unstuck: 7 Steps to Freedom" is about. How to quit doing what you don't want to do, while improving your life and relationship with God, others, and you.
What motivated you to become an indie author?
In radio, when I opened the microphone and spoke I, of course, didn't have a clue to who may be listening. It surprised me to hear from a variety of callers. Many who would not identify themselves with Jesus.
Each had a story to tell and a dream they hoped to realize. I wanted to help them fulfill their dream.
As in my radio career, I believe an ebook has the potential to reach a broad segment of the world effectively--and for a greater length of time than other options.
This idea intrigues me and challenges me to work for worthwhile possibilities.
