Writer of children's stories and poetry, MG and YA fiction, avid reader, mother, grandmother, member of the SCBWI. I have been writing for as far back as I can remember. I won a writing contest in the third grade of elementary school. The contest included all third grade classes in the state of Indiana. I was awarded a book that was written and signed by the governor of the state of Indiana, Escape from Corregidor, by Edgar D. Whitcomb, thus the beginning of my life-long love of writing. I am a graduate of the Institute of Children's Literature. I have had several of my poems published on Underneath the Juniper Tree's website and in their online magazine, as well as a short fun fact piece on knowonder.com. I am currently working on several children's stories, as well as a children's book of poetry.
